CLASS 730 CULINARY ARTS

Place baking on white throw away plate, tray or foil covered cardboard. Place baking inside plastic bag with entry tag attached. No commercial mixes, fillings or frosting. Pie and tart shells are to be homemade unless stated otherwise.

Note: If using new tin foil pie plates you are advised to temper them, by placing the empty plate in a 400*F oven for 10 minutes. This helps to bake the pie crust.

Note:  If you are a Junior entering this class, please do not put your age on the entry tag.

All caning and preserves must be exhibited in clear, sealed containers. No wax is permitted. Please use an elastic to attach entry tag to the jar.

Country Fair Baking Contests

· All entrants into the contests must submit entries that were made using  the sponsor’s product.

· A product label  must accompany each  entry, as proof of purchase.  ACH Foods will require only one proof of purchase from either Mazola Corn Oil or Bee Hive Corn Syrup.

· Tenderflake requests that their lard only be used, not their frozen pie shells.

· All entries will be judged  on appearance, texture, creativity of recipe and presentation. Decision of the fair judge will be final.

· First and second place winners’ names and address must be submitted.

· All first place winners must submit recipe, proof of purchase, photograph and signed release form giving permission to the sponsors for use of the winner’s name, recipe and/or photograph in any other   advertising or publicity without payment.
