House plants must be in exhibitor’s possession for at least 2 months . Plants may be grown outdoors in own pots and rooted. Have leaves clean and dead leaves removed. Exhibits infected with pests or diseases will be disqualified. All flowering plants must have at least one bloom open.

Cut  Flowers

Must be grown by exhibitor. Cut flowers to be shown with their own foliage. A BLOOM is an individual flower, one to a stem. Do not leave buds showing colour in your specimen. A STEM may carry one or more flowers and buds. A SPIKE is a thick upright stem, carrying several flowers. A SPRAY is a portion on the plant with a number of flowers on one stem. Uniformity in size, colour form, stem and foliage is desirable.
